AD7902 is a dual 16bit, successive approximation, analogue to digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDDx, per ADC. It contains two low power, high speed, 16bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial port interface (SPI). On the CNVx rising edge, the AD7902 samples an analogue input, IN+, in the range of 0V to VREF with respect to a ground sense, IN-. The externally applied reference voltage of the REFx pins (VREF) can be set independently from the supply voltage pins VDDx. The power of the device scales linearly with throughput. Typical application include battery-powered equipment, communications, automated test equipment (ATE), data acquisition, medical instrumentation, redundant measurement and simultaneous sampling.
- 16bit resolution with no missing codes
- Throughput: 1MSPS, SINAD: 91dB at 1KHz and THD: -105dB at 1KHz
- Low power dissipation: 7mW at 1MSPS (VDD1 and VDD2 only), 12mW at 1MSPS (total) and 140µW at 10KSPS
- INL: ±1LSB typical, ±2.5LSB maximum and DNL: ±1LSB max
- Pseudo differential analogue input range: 0V to VREF with VREF between 2.4V to 5.1V
- Allows use of any input range and easy to drive with the ADA4841-1/ADA4841-2
- No pipeline delay and serial port interface (SPI) QSPI/MICROWIRE/DSP compatible
- Single-supply 2.5V operation with 1.8V/2.5V/3V/5V logic interface
- 20 lead QSOP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
