The Purrmetrix data logging system measures, logs and analyses a range of important environmental variables. This gateway unit collects the data from a range of Purrmetrix sensors and encrypts it for delivery to the Purrmetrix web service. The gateway unit is compact and inconspicuous, requiring only an Ethernet connection (Powered from any 802.3af Ethernet socket) to begin to transmit data in real time. It can receive data from up to 200 Purrmetrix sensors with a range from gateway to sensor of 40-60 meters, depending on the nature of the environment it is located in. Gateways use ubiquitous HTTPS transports and network sockets, meaning they are compatible with network translation infrastructures. AC powered Gateways are also available (Farnell part number <bold>2906732</bold>) for situations where there is easy access to sockets. Purrmetrix gateways and sensors come with a free web service to collect and display environmental data.
