AES-MAAXB-8ULP-SOM-G is a MaaXBoard 8ULP System-on-Module. It features the NXP i.MX 8ULP processor to achieve ultra-low power, EdgeLock®-secured intelligent edge applications. It features three domains: the Application Domain with dual Arm® Cortex®-A35 (800MHz) cores and 3D/2D GPUs for GUI-based Linux, the Real-Time Domain with an Arm Cortex-M33 (216MHz) and Fusion DSP (200MHz) for audio/voice, the LPAV Domain with HiFi 4 DSP (475MHz) for ML, sensor, and audio tasks. A S400 Security Enclave and RISC-V based power management are also included. It has 768KB on-chip RAM, 2GB LPDDR4X, 8MB octal PSRAM, 32GB eMMC, and 4MB SPI NOR flash. The two-board design (SOM 43 x 36mm and Pi-form baseboard) offers Ethernet, USB, MIPI DSI/CSI, Pi-HAT, MikroE Click, and audio interfaces. It supports USB-C power via PCA9460B PMIC. Debug features include USB-to-UART, I/O expander, and SWD/JTAG. An M.2 connector adds Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1. Suitable for Edge-AI, machine learning applications.
