Product Overview
MC34063EBD-TR is a monolithic control circuit that delivers the main functions for DC to DC voltage converting. This device contains an internal temperature compensated reference, comparator, duty cycle controlled oscillator with an active current limit circuit, driver and high current output switch. The output voltage is adjustable through two external resistors with a 2% reference accuracy. Employing a minimum number of external components, it is designed for step-down, step-up and voltage inverting applications.

- Supply current is 1.5mA typ at (VCC = 5 to 40V, CT = 1nF, PIN 7 = VCC)
- Frequency is 33KHz typical at ( VPIN5 = 0V, CT = 1nF, TA = 25°C)
- Charge current is 33µA typical at (VCC = 5 to 40V, TA = 25°C)
- Current limit sense voltage is 300mV typical at (ICHG = IDISCHG, TA = 25°C)
- Collector off-state current is 0.01µA typical at (VCE = 40V)
- Input bias current is -5nA typical at (VIN = 0V)
- Start-up voltage is 1.5V typical at (TA = 25°C, CT = 1µF, PIN 5 = 0)
- Discharge current is 200µA typical at (VCC = 5 to 40V, TA = 25°C)
- Operating ambient temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, SO-8 package
